Eagles, bones

& moon
A series of dark illustrations created during equally dark times. Inspired by the iconic painting “The Apotheosis of War,” the series explores the chaos, fear, and destruction of war through symbolic imagery.
The first illustration, featuring a newborn, became the artwork for The Silence’s album “Angelus Custos.” Eagles, bones, a sinister moon, and shadowy buildings shape the visual language of the series, reflecting its somber mood and sense of unease.
